Discouragement and depression are very real in our day and age. Especially among the youth. Life is unstable. Meaningless even. Without hope. Perhaps that was why it was so encouraging to see so many children and youth engaged in our Easter Service here at Bridge Church this past Sunday.

We had a wonderful day celebrating Christ's great victory over death through song, communion, fellowship over food, a mime skit, as well as the ministry of the Word which communicated the hope we have in the resurrection of Christ.

As we learned, this is the hope that everything we do will one day be rewarded in heaven and how that creates in us the stability needed to abound in good works. This is why the resurrection of Christ is so precious! Not because it promises us success in every venture, but because it promises that nothing we do for Christ is ever in vain, even our failures! All of it will be rewarded one day.

And that is because death and failure does not have the final say in your life. God does. Therefore, be steadfast, immovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, knowing that in the Lord your labor is never in vain. (1 Cor. 15:58)
